Ryzom Core is the open source framework for developing MMORPGs, built upon NeL, the Nevrax Library game engine, and published under the AGPLv3 license. Graphics, translations, and select leveldesign assets from the Ryzom game are available under both the CC-BY-SA 3.0 and Free Art License 1.3.
This page is a work in progress. Things are getting organized. Please browse through the archives on the left. The following is a loose collection of notes.
The Ryzom Core open-source community can be reached through IRC at #ryzom and #nel on Freenode.
Support for the Ryzom game, operated by Winch Gate, as well as the Ryzom Forge team, can be reached through Ryzom.Chat.
We need a Getting Started route for both NeL, using the Snowballs demo, and another route for Ryzom Core. It's important to advertise NeL as well, as starting out with Ryzom Core is overwhelming, and skips over several essential basics. Ryzom Forge interested folks should be forwarded to the Ryzom Forge team.
These repositories are currently being cleaned up. A work-in-progress can be found on the ryzomclassic-develop branch, though no support is provided at this moment.
For building your own game.

The following sections are being reorganized.
The project covers the deployment and management of the server cluster. A basic user account rights system is included. User account management, billing, and customer support systems are not covered by Ryzom Core, and are up to the user to implement.
AMS included in the project may serve as a customer support system.
